Home for me is Darlington, South Carolina.  It is where I was born, where I was raised, and where I learned to love the game of football. My brother, John, who is 5 years older than me, was the first kicker in the family.  With his soccer background, he easily adjusted to the football ways of kicking.  In only two years of high school football at Darlington High, my brother dominated the high school ranks.  He went on to spend his college years at Clemson where he earned a spot on their football team, unfortunately not seeing much action on the field.  He has been my inspiration for my whole life which is why I started kicking at the age of 8 and have been doing so from then on.

I played football for Darlington High my sophomore, junior, and senior years with hopes of making a name for myself there like my brother did.  I worked hard and practiced all the time in order to achieve my dream goal of playing college football.  We never had a great football team in my high school career but I never let that bring me down and get in the way of my goal.  I ended my high school football career with great achievements.  I was 3A kicker of the state my senior year, three time All-Region team, and earned a spot to play in the 2009 North South All Star Game.  My dream of playing football in college was looking good as national signing day was near.  Not too long after the All Star Game, I got a scholarship offer to play at Furman University. Later that Febuary, I signed my National Letter of Intent to play for the Paladins.

I have just finished up my junior year of football and this season has been the best one of all for me.  Even though my freshman season was a tough one to beat after being an All-Socon selection, I got to kick field goals, punt, and kickoff for my junior year which I have not done since my senior year of high school.  My sophomore season was a struggle for me as I was in the midst of changing up my ways of kicking in hopes of being better for the long run.  It ended up working out for me after all, and has given me high hopes for the rest of my football career.  Now, I am down to my final year of college football.

As I am nearing my final year at college, I am putting in the work and doing all I can to be great so I can say that my senior year of college football was the best of them all.

I am truly blessed to have the life I live of playing the best and most important position of football... the kicker.
